  • FiberSensing PXI™ BraggSCOPE module can be used in any standard 3U PXI™ chassis to interrogate FBG sensors without the need of any other external devices, such as optical source or detection modules. It uses proven thin-film optical filtering technology in an innovative approach to perform dynamic measurement of the Bragg wavelength.

    BraggSCOPE
    The proprietary BraggSCOPE technology is based on wellestablished integrated add/drop WDM components, which enable a cost-effective filtering solution for Bragg wavelength measurement within predefined bands. Up to four sensors can be connected in series to perform simultaneous measurements.

    MODULARITY
    The PXI™ BraggSCOPE measurement unit can be combined with FiberSensing PXI™ optical multiplexers providing the user with a modular scalability within the same platform.

    DRIVER
    FiberSensing PXI™ BraggSCOPE modules are based on National Instruments™ DAQ boards taking full advantage of the NI-DAQ technology. This module complies with PXITM Specification 2.1 and is supplied with a LabVIEW™ driver fully compatible with Microsoft™ Windows XP™, allowing the user to directly access data from each FBG sensor (time stamp and Bragg wavelength).

    Optionally, the standard GUI application for FiberSensing’s measurement units (iLog FS 9100) can be installed on the PXI™ controller2. This easy-to-use software interface features built-in datalogger functions, such as automated sampling, archiving and transmitting. A high-performance local database manages both multiple sensor network configurations and large datasets. Acquired data can also be exported to analysis tools through Excel™ compatible files.
    Configuring sensors is easy and straightforward. Each FiberSensing sensor is provided with a configuration file, allowing its characteristics to be automatically inserted, so measurements can start immediately after plugging the sensor.
